A CUT (Centro Universitario Teatrale – Egyetemi Színházi Központ) 2004
febbruárjában alakult egy megállapodás eredményeként, amely a Solot – Compagnia
Stabile di Benevento (Benevento Állandó Társulata) és a Sannioi Tudományegyetem
között jött létre. Működése első 3 évében abeneventói Egyetemi Központ (CUT) színházi tevékenységének kezdő lépéseibe a Sannioi Egyetem hallgatóit vonta be, felhasználva a Solot értékes művészeti tanácsait, Ugo Gregoretti rendező nagyra értékelt felügyelete mellett, aki a Központ tiszteletbeli elnöke.
A megvalósított kezdeményezések között volt
néhány, amelyet igazán sikeresnek mondott a kritika: a beneventói fesztivál
(Benevento Cittá Spettacolo) programjába is besorolt színpadi előadások (L’orlo
dello zero/A semmi széle, R. Guiducci műve), a műhelyek és szemináriumok
eredményeként megvalósult előadás Uno studio su Ennio Flaiano/Tanulmány Ennio
Flaianoról címmel, és az Universo Teatro rendezvény keretében színpadon
bemutatott darabok, a La freccia nel fianco / Az oldalba fúródott nyíl (2007), a
Batracomiomachia / Békaegérharc (2008) és az Erennio Decimo Lavativo,Il
Sannitico / Léhűtő tizedik Erennio, a szamnita (2009), mindegyik Gregoretti
rendező keze alatt valósult meg.
2008 októberében az egyetemi tanács megváltoztatta a CUT társasági formáját; az új Egyetemi Színházi Központ célja kultúrális tevékenységek megszervezése és lebonyolítása, valamint a hallgatók kultúrális és művészeti fejlődésének előmozdítása, mely elsődleges célja az egyetemi közösségnek. A CUT tevékenységébe tartozik a színház, a filmszínház, a zene és a drámaművészet területein műhelyek és szeminárumok megszervezése, amelyekhez az előadások kritikái és a színművek, filmek és zeneművek szemléi kapcsolódhatnak.
The CUT (University Theatre Center) was founded inFebruary2004 following an agreement between the Sannio University and the Solot Compagnia Stabile di Benevento. During its first three years, the CUT of Benevento has organised a number of theatre activities, thanks to the participation of many University students, to the Solot artistic counseling and to the supervision of the director Ugo Gregoretti, who is also Honorary President of the Center. Some initiatives gained critical success, among which: the theatrical sets for the Benevento Città Spettacolo festival, workshops and training courses concluded with the show "A study on Ennio Flaiano” and "Universo Teatro" (within which the following shows were staged: "The arrow in the side", adapted from a work by M. Gregoretti, and "Batracomiomachia". In October 2008, the CUT form of association was modified by the
Academic Senate of the University. The purpose of the new University Theater Center is to organize cultural and training activities aimed at the artistic and cultural growth of the students. The CUT is committed to promoting the organization of workshops and seminars, as well as training activities in the field of theater, cinema, music and dramatic arts, which might be followed by shows, festivals, cinema and music events.

Ez az előadás egy átfogó visszatekintésnek és önértékelésnek a gyümölcse. 1978-ban az első színházi rendezésem (A hazug, Lelio szerepében Gigi Proietti) jelentette számomra az első próbatételt Goldoni világában. 1980 Goldoni és Haydn Élet a Holdon (Il mondo della luna) c. művének az éve lett. 1982-ben következett a Viaggio a Goldonia (Utazás Goldoni világába), Goldoni mikrokozmoszának televíziós metszete úgy ábrázolva, mintha egy földrajzi hely lenne oknyomozó módszerekkel felkutatva. Ebből a programból vett elő egy könyvet az Il Saggiatore kiadó ésebből a könyvből emeltem ki néhány jelenetet, melyeket összedolgoztam az Élet a holdon c. alkotás néhány darabjával és az egészet rábíztam a kiváló és igen kedvelt növendékekre a Sannio Egyetemről.

I go, I go, I fly, fly... from Goldony to the Moon
This perfromance is a product of a profound retrospective and self-evaluating provess. In 1978, my first direction (producing The Liar, with Gigi Proietti playing Lelio) was my first probing immersion to Goldoni's world. The year 1980 became that of Goldoni and Haydn's play Life on the Moon (Il mondo della luna). This was followed in 1982 by Traveling to Goldony (Viaggio a Goldonia), a tv-redition of Goldoni's microcosm, conducted analogously to a geographical exploration. The Il Saggiatore Press published a book from this program, and this time, I chose a couple of scenes from this book, which I fused with pieces from Life on the Moon, and entrusted the whole to the skilled and beloved students of Sannino University.
